Calliope's Call presents INside OUTfluence

Calliope's Call presents INside OUTfluence: Connecting Art & Music, a collaboration with Boston-based painter, Bethany Noël Murray. INside OUTfluence joins visual and musical expression through themes of the artist in nature, love and heartbreak, and physical and emotional pain as expressed through art and music. The concerts will be presented alongside an exhibition of Bethany Noël Murray’s paintings at First Church Boston.

Calliope’s Call is a New England-based arts organization dedicated to creating exciting and diverse performances of art song for the cultural enrichment of our community and beyond. Our mission is to showcase the vast genre of art song by programming music of traditional as well as contemporary composers, to grant performance opportunities to professional singers and instrumentalists who wish to explore art song, and to provide access to affordable, high-quality arts programming to otherwise excluded audiences. At the heart of the organization is a desire to instill an appreciation and love for this under-represented art form in the community. We create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for our audiences to have an enriching and personal concert-going experience, including audience outreach following each performance.
