**UPDATE! Sidewalk Vigil Location: Intersection of Cambridge & Winn Sts. up Cambridge St. past the Common to the intersection of Cambridge St. & Burlington High School.

5:30pm - Everyone who is able will take a knee for 8:46.
This vigil is organized by members of the Burlington Interfaith Clergy Group as a peaceful socially-distanced show of support for #BlackLivesMatter and all who have lost their lives to police brutality. We will be standing (10 feet apart) on either side of Cambridge Street on the sidewalk along the Common and along Simonds Park. We will fan out on the sidewalks down Cambridge St. in both directions, going all the way down the hill toward town center in one direction and all the way toward the high school in the other direction. Please bring your own sign and wear a mask!
At 5:30pm, we invite everyone who is able to take a knee, bow a head, or make your preferred gesture of solidarity as you wish and are able for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.
If you cannot attend in person because of concerns about Coronavirus or any other reason, we plan to livestream the vigil on Facebook so you can support from a distance. You can also decorate your car and drive down Cambridge Street between 5pm-6pm. There is limited parking in front of Town Hall where you may park and participate from your car.
Due to the very present danger of the pandemic, physical distancing must be observed and masks must be worn. We invite families to stand together. Any minors should attend with a guardian if possible, or have explicit parental permission to attend. Marshals will be present to enforce these standards and to ensure the peaceful nature of this event.
You can park at UCC Burlington, 6 Lexington St. and at Temple Shalom Emeth, 16 Lexington St.
