Building Pathways, an organization dedicated to creating opportunities for low-income area residents to access and prepare for careers in building trades, is offering an information session to individuals who may be interested in enrolling in the free 200-hour Pre-Apprenticeship Program, providing education and career exploration, and hands-on work opportunities. The information session is required in order to apply for the full program.
Through six weeks of Career Readiness and Occupational Skills Training, with classroom and hands-on learning experiences, Building Pathways will provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to enter and succeed in a registered union building trades apprenticeship program. Participants will also receive coordinated case management and placement services to help them achieve their career goals. Once placed in a quality apprenticeship program, they will gain on-the-job training, while earning good wages and benefits.
The Building Pathways Pre-Apprenticeship Program is looking for qualified residents who want to begin careers as skilled building tradespeople. The next training program begins in February 2020 in Cambridge. Anyone interested in attending the information session should email Hector Acevedo: [email protected].
