Celebrate Earth Day by building a raised-bed garden-frame!
In this outdoor workshop, you'll learn basic woodworking skills as you build new wooden garden beds at the Leland Street Cooperative Garden. Then, you'll create your own small planter box to bring home.
There will be lots to learn and share about gardening along the way, too!
Learn how to apply your new woodworking skills to future home projects.
*This workshop takes place outdoors, at the Leland Street Cooperative Garden at the end of Leland Street in Forest Hills, Boston.
About the location: The Leland Street Cooperative Garden is a community garden in the truest sense of the term. Dedicated to creating a neighborhood gathering place, the garden is free from individually owned plots and fences, locks and keys. Everything in the garden is open for all to use.
Please prepare for the outdoor setting accordingly (layered clothing, work-gloves, and bag-lunch recommended).
