Buddha Amitayus Empowerment: The Wisdom of Tantra
Saturday, April 6 - 10:00am to 4:30pm
(Empowerment: 10:00am - 12:00pm | Lunch break | Commentary: 1:30 - 2:45pm | Meditation: 3:15 - 4:30pm)
There is nothing more precious to us than our life. We usually regard material possessions as very important, and put much effort into acquiring them, but in reality our human life is our most important possession.
With this human life, we have the opportunity to experience pure happiness. But unless we have wisdom we don’t know how to grasp this opportunity to make the most of it, and our death can cut short our efforts to follow the path to pure happiness. We therefore need a method to increase our life-span, our wisdom and our merit. Receiving the blessing empowerment of Buddha Amitayus and engaging in this meditation practice will help us to increase all three.
An empowerment is a blissful guided meditation through which we make a connection to Buddha Amitayus and through this we will receive his continual blessings and help. In the afternoon Gen Khedrub will offer an essential commentary to The Yoga of Buddha Amitayus, a special meditation practice containing powerful visualizations and mantra recitation.
Everyone is welcome.
Registration: General tickets $50. Register in advance on the event page on our website: https://www.meditationinboston.org/buddha-amitayus-empowerment-the-wisdom-of-tantra
