Oh Snap! We’re throwing it back to the totally sweet decade of the 1990s! Whether you remember wearing toe rings and pagers or jamming out to alternative rock bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Buffalo Tom, BostonTalks will take you down memory lane—and dive a little deeper too.

Kathleen McDermott specializes in fashion, culture and art history at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She published a fashion history handbook titled 'Style for All: Why Fashion, Invented by Kings, Now Belongs to All of Us.' Learn about the history and trendsetters of 1990s fashion.


Bill Janovitz
Guitarist, singer and songwriter in the Buffalo Tom band
Bill Janovitz and friends formed the popular band Buffalo Tom while at the University of Massachusetts. They toured internationally in the 1990s and are still touring and recording today. Get the inside story about what it was like to be a rock star in the 1990s.
