Soloist Rudolf Buchbinder joins Music Director Andris Nelsons for Wolfgang Mozart’s light and lyrical Concerto No. 23. Richard Strauss’s 1911 opera Der Rosenkavalier lovingly evokes the grace and elegance of Mozart’s Vienna. Alongside those lilting waltzes comes Latvian composer Arturs Maskats’ Tango, a rich orchestral tribute to the dance. Ludwig van Beethoven’s Consecration of the House Overture masterfully raises the curtain on our season.
