The Boston Malanka annual winter ball is a chance for the Ukrainian community of New England (and friends!) to gather in celebration of this traditional holiday, and to support a worthy cause. Over the decades, Malanka has become the most anticipated social event for our community — attracting approximately 400 attendees annually.
Since 2022, Ukraine Forward and the Ukrainian American Educational Center of Boston (UAEC) have fundraised and delivered over $2.1 million worth of crucial resources such as lifesaving medical supplies and equipment for hospitals and clinics across Ukraine. We have designated that net proceeds from Boston Malanka 2025 will be used to purchase tactical medical supplies, such as tourniquets and IFAKs (Individual First Aid Kits), to send to Ukraine. Funds raised last year at Boston Malanka 2024 provided 450 IFAKs and 105 IFAK refill kits – surpassing our initial goal of 350 IFAK refill kits. Our goal this year at Boston Malanka 2025 is to raise at least $35,000 to provide lifesaving supplies to people in Ukraine. Adult admission is $150 and children's admission is $65.
