The seven-weekend long Boston Immersive Music Festival brings together the best of experimental, jazz, classical, and traditional music that Boston has to offer with the immersive visuals of the OVC-3D.

Experience the convergence of sound, science, and mindfulness with Planetary CymaticResonance (PCR), a pioneering project exploring the frontiers of auditory experience.
In this special solo performance, Timo Preece delves into the cosmic vibrations andfrequencies that define PCR's innovative soundscapes. This event offers a transformative journey, blending ancient harmonic wisdom with modern technology, inspired by Kepler's "Music of the Spheres" and Hans Cousto's Cosmic Octave theories, tuning music to thecosmic frequencies of planetary cycles.
Timo Preece, a renowned sound designer and educator, will lead you through an immersive experience incorporating principles of neuroscience, sound meditation, and advancedtechnologies like virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI). His solo performance, deeply rooted in collaboration with Steffen Günther, co-founder of PCR, also features elements of sound bath techniques, creating a cinematic and meditative auditory environment.
This performance showcases PCR's commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional music, offering a unique exploration of how sound can be used to expand consciousness and enhance well-being.
PCR's music leverages the concept of neural resonance, where specific tones influence the brain's resonance patterns, eliciting distinct emotional responses. This approach engages the brain's cognitive and emotional processes, stimulating circuits involved in emotion, memory, and motor functions, thereby enhancing consciousness and emotional well-being.

The OVC-3D
The OVC returns to Boston! Bill Sebastian created the original OVC in the 1970s and performed on stage with Sun Ra at theaters in Boston and New York. The videos they made in the 1980s were recently featured in a retrospective at the Roulette Theater in Brooklyn and in Inside the Light World released by Strut Records. The OVC allowed an artist to create visual projections with the same total spontaneous control that a musician has over sound. Sebastian's OVC-3D extends that concept to immersive 3D worlds that can be entered using VR headsets. Bill will be performing live on the OVC-3D at every festival event, accompanying the musicians as they explore a wide range of musical styles.
