Learn about one of the newest National Parks. This presentation includes the history of the islands and how they’ve been used (and misused) over the years as well as information about visiting them today. It’s a place worth getting to know. It offers wilderness campsites, beaches with lifeguards (yes, the water’s clean now), two centuries of overgrown forts with missile silos and gun emplacements, the ruins of a famous actress’s mansion, a former FBI safe house, and a landscaped island with several miles of hiking trails that was built mostly with fill from the Big Dig.
