ABOUT BOSTON FLOW:
Boston Flow was founded in 2014 after best friends and Cami Aponte and Sarah Tamburelli met while hooping in the Common in September. The two young women were inspired by one another to try and form a community which would not only unite the prop spinners of Boston, but also celebrate all other forms of artistic talent, all while contributing to the local community.
It all started with a Facebook group and a spin jam in the Common which doubled as a food drive. With the help of amazing friends, volunteers, and sponsors, Boston Flow has hosted dozens of successful events in the past two years, including beach cleanups, art shows, fire spinning events, DIY concerts, open mics, spin jam meetups, and social gatherings to benefit a wide variety of nonprofits and charities. Some of these include the Happy Hippie Foundation, Vh1 Save the Music, Greater Boston Food Bank, Animal Rescue League of Boston, Pebbles for Nepal, and Democracy Matters to name a few. Boston Flow also hosts regular workshops collaboratively with the Northeastern Spinning Arts Club, featuring nationally renowned instructors such as Lucy Ford, Hoopercat, and Third Space Movement.
The Boston Flow community was founded on collaboration, creativity, community involvement, friendship, inclusion, and good vibes. Boston Flow continuously strives to unite Boston's creative minds and bodies by empowering them to make a difference by doing what they love.
