Boston Baroque opens its 24/25 season with Joseph Haydn’s Die Schöpfung (The Creation), the electrifying oratorio that captured Europe's imagination at its 1798 premiere. This masterpiece, featuring radiant solo performances by Hera Hyesang Park (soprano), Paul Appleby (tenor), and Nicholas Newton (bass-baritone), brings to life the wonders of creation in three parts, from the chaos before time to the awakening of Adam and Eve. Experience Haydn's brilliant orchestration, stunning choruses, and powerful use of light and sound in one of his greatest works.
