As generations evolve, so do the political, economic, and cultural forces that define their experiences. This meetup will explore the factors that have shaped the lives of generations from the Silent Generation to Gen Alpha, focusing on key determinants and how they have changed over time.
Politically, evolving ideologies, voter participation trends, and policy priorities reflect the differing needs and challenges each generation has faced—from the focus on industrial growth and social safety nets to climate action, civil rights, and digital governance.
Economically, we’ll discuss shifts in income levels, housing affordability, job markets, and access to education. What was once a stable path to homeownership and retirement for some generations has transformed into challenges like student debt, gig work, and rising living costs.
Cultural determinants like family structures, gender roles, technology, and cultural expectations have changed dramatically, from the rise of traditional nuclear families to the embrace of diverse identities and lifestyles in today’s world.
This meetup offers a chance to discuss these changes and understand how generational differences influence our perspectives today.
