Talk with Robert Ellertsen on Farsund’s Occupation History
Sons of Norway, Norumbega Lodge presents a talk with Robert Ellertsen.
Bob Ellertsen will talk about a book he translated from Norwegian to English, titled Farsund’s Occupation History. The book was written by a Norwegian man named Johannes Seland. The book chronicles was like for the people of the Norwegian seaport town of Farsund and the nearby farming community of Lista during the occupation of Norway by Germany in World War II from 1940-1945. The author Johannes Seland was deeply involved in the resistance to the occupation.
