Bluesy Tuesy is a friendly not-for-profit social partner dance, happening weekly in Harvard Square. We're affordable (pay what you can $5-$20, volunteers get in free) and diverse. It's great exercise and a good way to connect with people. No experience or partner needed.
This week we have instructor Jamica Zion in town finishing up a two week residency! She'll teach 7:30-8:30 p.m. Open dance runs 8:30 until at least 10pm, usually we're there a bit later.
Masks are required, we will probably require proof of vaccination for our February 28 event but not after that.
We're cash only but take IOUs. We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle and a pair of comfortable shoes without too much street grit on them to dance in, but we have cups and masks available if needed and dancing in socks is fine, too.
No dance on March 14, and maybe none on March 21, our venue is doing some renovations.
Most weeks we dance mainly blues with a bit of fusion, fourth Tuesdays are "Fusey Tuesy" where we dance fusion with some blues. You can see some sample videos on our website; blues and fusion dance are related to swing dance, but done to different music.
