We invite you to join us in a (socially-distanced) car protest in support of the Black Lives Matter movement on WEDNESDAY, June 10th, at 6pm.


Starting at 530pm, we will begin lining up on Manning Street facing Great Plains Ave and then turn the corner and slowly proceed down Webster St with our blinkers on. Horn honking is welcomed. We will end the drive at the intersection of Webster and High St.


At 6pm, we ask that those who are physically capable to please exit and stand beside your car for 8 minutes and 46 Seconds of silence, in honor of George Floyd. After this we will begin our drive.


Please bring signs to hold out of your car window that express solidarity with the movement.

We recommend:


• When coming to join the event, enter Manning Street from High Street (or farther back), with your car facing in the direction of Great Plain Ave, so we can “line up” in our cars without congesting both sides of Manning Street.


Start arriving at 530, so we can be ready to begin at 6pm

Along the route, there will be signs speaking to our community’s responsibility in ending the systemic racism that has been forged by white supremacy. This will include some of the names of those murdered by police brutality and racist violence. We will also be sharing resources, so that we all can continue to take steps that build a world filled with true justice and equality for Black Americans.
