January 17th (1706) is the birthdate of one's of America's founding fathers - Ben Franklin - and he was born right here in Boston! Celebrate his birthday and learn about the life and accomplishments of Benjamin Franklin by walking among the sites of his homes and haunts in Colonial Boston.
In his day, Benjamin Franklin was America’s greatest scientist, inventor, diplomat, humorist, statesman, and entrepreneur. Ben was born in Boston, came of age in Philadelphia, and later was the darling of Paris. From his many inventions, creations of civic, philanthropic and educational institutions, to his role in the founding of America, his legacy is immeasurable.
General Admission $15; Boston By Foot Members pay only $5. Tickets can be purchased online before the tour, or in cash from the guides the day of the tour. (You can purchase a BBF membership online too - it is a great new year's resolution explore your City!)
The tour lasts ninety minutes. This tour will be conducted outdoors, please dress appropriately. Meet your guide at the corner of School and Washington Streets (near the Irish Famine Memorial/in front of Walgreen's).
