This adventure will be perfect for you if you want to either have a chill adventure and/or want to enhance your comfort and confidence with hiking and camping.
You do not have to own any camping gear to attend! You can rent everything below when you sign up for the event. We will be staying at a campground next to a hostel with a running brook, and we’ll pick up gear on the way up.
Here’s the plan, Stan:
Saturday
1) Leave early afternoon to pick up gear on the way up to the campground
2) Set up our tents, relax, and grab a snack
3) Head up Stinson Mountain for a sunset hike
4) Come back and relax with a campfire
Sunday
1) Wake up and grab a quick breakfast somewhere
2) Head to Mt. Hayes
3) Go home to Boston
Expectations:
1) None of these hikes will be speed hikes – don’t sign up if you’re going for bullet train velocity
2) Be respectful of COVID guidelines – we will absolutely maintain social distancing while camping and hiking.
3) Information will be released only to those who sign up via Ridj-it; don’t ask for information otherwise regarding where we’ll be staying.
4) NCPs (non-carpoolers) may join but there will be a charge for doing so since no buy-in means high rates of flaking. If you’re not cool with that, no worries, but please keep it to yourself or post your own adventure based on the rules you want.
5) This is not a service being offered to you. This is an individual sharing adventure with you – do not bring any of that negative customer behavior because this isn’t that type of thing.
6) Be flexible – this is a chill adventure.
