On Friday evening of May the 25th Bees Deluxe, Boston's unique acid blues & punk jazz ensemble will be performing their final concert at Ryles Jazz Club in Cambridge Mass.
The band has regularly headlined at this venerable, and soon to be closed venue. "Ryles has the history of 20th Century Jazz embedded in the very walls and furniture like the living ghosts of Pat Metheny, Grover Washington Jr., Robben Ford, and McCoy Tyner. What musician wouldn't want to play at the very top of their game in this room?" said Conrad Warre, guitarist & vocalist for Bees Deluxe.
Bees Deluxe will be bringing mystery musical guests, their favorite songs & tunes from their extensive repertoire which includes re-imagined songs by Etta James and Billie Holiday re-arranged instrumentals from Joe Zawinul and Roy Buchanan, and compositions from their latest all original acid blues independent album "Voice of Dog."
Blues Blast Magazine said of Bees Deluxe: “what might happen if Freddie King took a lot of acid then wrote a song with Pat Metheny and asked a strung-out Stevie Ray Vaughan to take a solo.”
