Welcome to our second annual Basketball City Championship! This tournament is now open to the public! We are looking to crown the ultimate Volo Boston basketball champion on March 15th!
Tournament Details/Format
There is an 8 team cap to this tournament - first 8 teams with completed rosters (minimum of 8 players with 2 men/women) will get a spot in the tournament
At least one man/woman on the court at all times.
There will be two pools of four teams
Teams will play each team in their pool once - All teams guaranteed 3 games
Pool play games are 20 mins - Stopped clock in the last minute only. If a team is leading by 10 points or more the clock will not stop.
Top 2 teams from each pool will move onto bracket play.
Bracket play games are 2-20min halves. Stopped clock in the last 2 minutes of the second half only
Teams will get team shirts, two refs for each game, a dedicated score keeper for each game and prizes for the champs and three-point winner.
Tournament Champions will receive a team trophy along with each member getting one free month of Volo Pass and swag!
Tournament will also feature a three-point contest and a raffle to benefit our Volo Kids Foundation!
