Have an article of clothing you would like to embroider or bead? Unleash your inner artist as you master the magic of needle and thread! Learn and practice basic embroidery and beading stitches. Apply these skills to personalize an item of their own clothing, such as a jacket, jeans, or shirt. By the end of the class, each student will have a uniquely decorated garment to showcase their creativity and new skills.
Prerequisites: Knowledge of basic hand-sewing techniques, such as hemming or sewing on buttons.
Students Should Bring to Class: Students should bring to class a notebook or sketch pad and pencil, pictures of design inspiration, small sharp scissors, a few items of clothing they would like to embroider/bead. If students have embroidery and beading needles, embroidery floss, beads, thread, hoops, they can bring them. These items will be supplied by the school.
