Bondir Chef and Owner Jason Bond has long been enamored with French cuisine and culture, having studied charcuterie in Paris and having traveled extensively in France to expand his knowledge of cheese. Even the name of his restaurant, which he opened almost 10 years ago, shows his Francophile inclinations. “Bondir” is not only a play on the chef’s last name, but the French verb meaning “to jump” or “to leap” is also an acknowledgement of the leap of faith he took when opening his own restaurant.
This year’s annual Bastille Day Menu will feature Chef Bond’s take on classic French dishes, prepared with the freshest ingredients from local New England farms and fisheries. A selection of wines from a winery in the Rhône region of France will be poured throughout the dinner.
