Fragrant, delicious Bao (Steamed Buns) are popular street food in many countries in east and southeast Asia, especially in China. Bao are easy to eat, wonderfully satisfying and provide complete nutrients in one bite. In this hands-on class with guest chef Ploy Khunisorn, you’ll learn to make dough from scratch to create two styles of buns: Cha Shu Chicken Buns with Pickled Vegetables and classic Vegetable Steamed Buns. Fantastic! Chef Ploy is a native of Thailand who earned her culinary degree at the Suan Dusit International School of Culinary Arts in Bangkok and has taught in Asia and the U.S. She is a favorite in the Boston area, specializing in a variety of international cuisines, while keeping a special place in her heart for all things Asian.
