Are you looking to expand your bodywork offerings?
Rooted in thousands of years of wisdom, Ayurveda offers a holistic approach to health, focusing on the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit.
In this weekend training program, you will discover the unique principles and practices of Ayurvedic bodywork, learning techniques that promote balance, vitality, and well-being, especially focusing on the Shirodhara and Abhyanga bodywork techniques.
Throughout this immersion, you will be guided through a blend of theoretical knowledge, practical demonstrations, and hands-on practice sessions. We will explore the principles of Ayurveda and the subtle energy systems of the body, laying a foundation for understanding the therapeutic applications of Shirodhara and Abhyanga.
Key components of the Ayurvedic Bodywork Training include:
Foundations of Ayurveda: Learn the fundamental principles of Ayurveda, including the concept of Doshas, Dhatus (tissues), and Malas (waste), as well as the importance of individual constitution (Prakriti) and imbalances (Vikriti).
Ayurvedic Lens of the Body: Explore the human body from an Ayurvedic perspective, learning about the subtle energy channels (Nadis), Marma points, and the role of the Doshas in maintaining health and vitality.
Abhyanga Technique: Learn the techniques of Abhyanga, a traditional Ayurvedic oil massage that nourishes the body, balances the doshas, enhances circulation, and promotes overall well-being.
Shirodhara Technique: Discover Shirodhara, an ancient Ayurvedic therapy involving the gentle pouring of warm herbal oil over the forehead, inducing a profound state of relaxation, mental clarity, and rejuvenation.
Practical Training and Hands-On Practice: Gain practical experience through guided demonstrations and hands-on practice.
By the end of the training, participants will understand the principles of Ayurvedic bodywork techniques, as well as the skills needed to begin offering these transformative therapies to clients seeking holistic wellness and rejuvenation.
Whether you are a massage therapist, yoga teacher, wellness practitioner, or simply passionate about Ayurveda, this training offers a unique opportunity for personal growth and professional development in the art of traditional Ayurvedic bodywork.
