Walden Pond, located just a few minutes from Mass Audubon’s Drumlin Farm, is beloved for its natural beauty which inspired the famous naturalist, Henry David Thoreau. Join us for a talk and book signing by Robert Thorson, author of The Guide to Walden Pond, the first guide to this cherished natural and literary landmark. Dr. Thorson will explore the natural habitat, history, landscape and literature of Walden Pond.
You can meet and greet the author from 6:30-7:00 pm, and stay for the author talk, slideshow and book signing afterwards.
Copies of the Guide to Walden Pond will be available for purchase.
Robert Thorson is a geology professor at the University of Connecticut, an award-winning author, scientist, and journalist. He has written several previous books on Thoreau and is an expert guide to Thoreau's Concord.
