Join author Christine Wolf as she reflects on the emotionally charged time following the 1989 murder of her teenage son, Andreas Dresp, just blocks from their home in Belmont. She'll discuss how journaling in the aftermath of the crime led to her memoir, Speak for Me, Mom: A Murder, a Trial, and a Mother's Enduring Love, and how writing helped her process traumatic grief during the trial and through the challenges she faced afterward. Wolf will provide insights from her personal journey, reflecting on the life-affirming messages she received through dreams, synchronicities (meaningful coincidences), and the support of those around her.
Wolf's writing has been praised for its raw emotion and heartfelt honesty. As Edward D. Rapacki, Esq., former Assistant District Attorney for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, noted, "Ms. Wolf’s vivid and, at times, aching journal of her experience as the surviving parent of a homicide victim reminds us that a criminal investigation and prosecution can be a further assault upon the living."
