Join GBH for a conversation with David Pogue about his experiences as an American technology and science writer and TV presenter. Guests are encouraged to submit a question in advance for David to answer during the event.
David Pogue is a six-time Emmy winner for his stories on CBS Sunday Morning; a New York Times bestselling author; a five-time TED speaker; host of 20 NOVA science specials; and creator/host of the CBS News/Simon & Schuster podcast Unsung Science. He was the New York Times weekly tech columnist from 2000 to 2013. In addition to these accomplishments, he’s written or cowritten more than 120 books, including his 2021 magnum opus, How to Prepare for Climate Change. Did you know he also spent ten years conducting and arranging Broadway musicals in New York after graduating summa cum laude from Yale with distinction in music?
More than any other time, science is front and center in our lives. We have confronted a once-in-a-century pandemic while also wrestling with the challenges of climate change. GBH continues to feature the environment, environmental justice, conservation and climate change through investigative journalism, history, science and children’s programming, as well as local and international journalism. None of this happens without audience support, and it’s why your contribution is so important. At Home ticket proceeds help keep this service strong.
This virtual event will begin at 7pm Eastern Time. Guests who wish to receive the digital keepsake should stay after 8pm to have their photo briefly taken with David. The conversation with David will be from 7-8pm.
