Play with fire in this beginner workshop! Learn the basics of MIG Welding, shop safety, using tools and equipment. Then you get to weld a critter sculpture! We provide all of the safety gear and materials. MIG welding is sort like using a hot glue gun with a wire feed running through it. When you touch the wire to the metal, it creates an arc, which creates a weld. After your workshop, you can cool off with an exclusive ArtWeek VIP tour of the Sam Adams Brewery across the street. Workshop minimum age 15 with parent or guardian permission. Children are welcome on the Brewery tour and can enjoy root beer.
We also offer an 8 hour welding intensive and longer classes running 8 or 10 weeks. Metal casting, stone carving, jewelry making, mold making, and figure sculpture workshops are available. Custom workshops are available as well, including: wedding ring workshops, teen welding intensives, and more!
