As part of a year-long residency at ArtLab, Sicangu Lakota hip-hop artist and music producer, Frank Waln will present an intimate Works-In-Progress performance about songwriting, storytelling, and how music can lead to healing and unity.
RSVP is requested; this event is free and open to all. Doors will open at 6:30 pm.
Born and raised in the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, Frank uses his music to speak about social issues affecting the Native community and for healing. Frank Waln has been commissioned by the Harvard University Committee on the Arts (HUCA) to create a public artwork that will take the shape of a participatory performance on campus in Spring 2024.
This special event is part of ArtsThursdays, a university-wide initiative supported by the Harvard University Committee on the Arts (HUCA).
