Join us for the premiere screening of a short film directed by Malakhai Pearson (2024 Mead Production Lab artist-in-residence) and Joseph Zeal-Henry (2024 Loeb/ArtLab Fellow.) The directors will be present and joined by choreographer Grisha Coleman.
Proximity Continuum is a reinterpretation of a rehearsal of the dance performance Proximity through the lens of Black Boston creativity. The film explores the thematic explorations of sound culture mediating the world of movement and spatial design, creating a common ground for the formation of new narratives within the conception of the Black Atlantic, specifically bridging shared culture between diasporic communities in Britain, the United States, and beyond.
This screening is part of ArtsThursdays, a university-wide initiative supported by the Harvard University Committee on the Arts (HUCA).
