Centering on the work of Mildred Thompson, the exhibition explores how the gestures of four artists - Maren Hassinger, Howardena Pindell, Liliana Porter, and Thompson - nailed, glued, unraveled, twisted, folded, pierced, and fastened, highlighting the labor of art making and materialize the line during times of social rupture.

Join us for a conversation between artist Maren Hassinger and exhibition curator Chassidy A. Winestock, followed by a visit to the show at the Johnson-Kulukundis Family Gallery at Harvard Radcliffe Institute.
