Join curator Laure Marest to explore some of the earliest coins ever made (7th–6th century BCE) in this hands-on session. Learn about what led to the invention of this enduring technology, and about the cities and kings who revolutionized methods of payment. Your questions and feedback will help us revamp the displays and interpretation of the museums’ coin collection.
Led by:
Laure Marest, Damarete Associate Curator of Ancient Coins, Division of Asian and Mediterranean Art
