Anthony and Joseph Paratore have performed on the international stage for more than 40 years. Playing both four-hands on one piano or on two instruments, the brothers appear on celebrity series throughout the United States and Europe, Israel, Australia and Asia. They have been featured artists with the New York Philharmonic and the Boston, Chicago, Detroit and San Francisco Symphony Orchestras.
Their diverse repertoire encompasses the standard literature for four-hand piano duet and for two pianos, an ever-growing number of rediscovered works, and new commissions by composers including Wolfgang Rihm, Manfred Trojahn and William Bolcom. They premiered jazz great Dave Brubeck’s “Points on Jazz” and released his music for two pianos on the Universal label.
The Duo has performed for the Presidents of The United States, Germany and Italy. Television appearances include the Today Show and the Tonight Show on NBC, plus PBS specials including the 20th Anniversary of the Boston Pops with John Williams, Piano Pizzazz from Wolf Trap, and The Paratores: Two Brothers, Four Hands. Anthony and Joseph have also been featured on NPR’s All Things Considered and Performance Today.
