Born and raised in Cambridge, MA, Amir Rivera was brought up in the local arts community. His father, a Latin guitarist taught him to play from an early age while his mother, a fiction writer, taught him a love of words. Naturally, Amir was destined to be a songwriter.


During his time at Skidmore college, Amir started the band Los Elk which has since gone on to tour nationally and has become an indie powerhouse. In his free time, Amir collaborates with artists in all genres, proving himself to be a dynamic fixture in the Boston music scene.


Amir’s own solo music is a goodie bag of all his interests. One song might be a folk ballad, while the next might be a campfire style pop-punk tune. What he chooses to play for an audience will always be a pleasant surprise, showcasing an eclectic range of styles and skills.
