Boston Sculptors Gallery is thrilled to present in the Launchpad, Indigo Conat-Naar’s exhibition again, forever.
At the intersection of being, memory, and place, Conat-Naar offers repetitive acts of caring for objects as a metaphor for our attempts to care for others across vast distances of time and space.
In fake aquariums, fish swim endlessly around a distant memory, while a headboard and chair conjoin to create an ungainly table, forever on the run. Baskets morph into mountains, whilst legs of marble and clay kneel in the sand, sharing the same silent prayer. Shown alongside these objects is a video piece entitled "in the smell of some kind of polish" wherein Conat-Naar polishes her grandmother's silverware for the first time.
