Curious about your African American family story but not sure where to start? Join Genealogist Alice Kane in learning how to begin discovering your story and what resources to use to research your African American ancestry.
Alice Kane worked with American Ancestors until 2020 facilitating research for visitors to its Boston research center. Prior to joining the staff, she was a librarian at the Boston Public Library for 19 years and is an independent researching genealogist with 15+ years experience. Alice's expertise include New England and Chinese-American genealogy as well as experience with lineage, Irish, African-American, Jewish, and German research. A graduate of Harvard University, she currently serves on the board of directors of the Chinese Historical Society of New England.
