Alrighty,

Here is my final 48th hike and for a lot of reasons I wanted to finish in the fall and finish for a good cause.

people who hiked with me through out this summer might have the full story by now. but thanks to ridj-it, we are able to have this hike setup as a fundraiser to support the American Cancer Society's mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

I'm raising funds to to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer. I would love your support as I bring my fundraising vision to life.

Now,

Back to the hike description:

North Kinsman and South Kinsman are 4,000 footers located at Franconia Notch. North Kinsman is 4,293 ft., while South Kinsman is 4,358 ft. We'll be hiking to the Kinsmans (Kinsmen?) via the Lonesome Lake, Fishing Jimmy, and Kinsman Ridge trails, totaling 9.4 miles out-and-back. There are some great views at South Kinsman of Franconia Ridge, but North Kinsman is a wooded summit.

Hopefully we get to see some early fall colors in and out of our way and weatehr permitting some good views from the South Kinsman summit

Gear

You must have 2 - 3 liters of water, Trialrunners/ hiking boots (not regular tennis shoes - no exceptions), food, hat, glasses, electrolyte replacement (Gatorade, etc), a layer in case of cold, non-cotton socks, and a copy of the route as located on AllTrails or other similar source. Absolutely no jeans.

Previous Experience

You must have previous hiking experience with an elevation gain of 2,000+ feet. This is not total elevation - elevation gain is the total number of feet you ascend throughout a trip. Not sure if you're ready? Drop in a chat in the chat box below.

Note:

There is a 15$ minimum for fundraiser in addition to the rider/ non-carpooler fee. You can add more tickets to maximize the amount if you would like to add more funds to this event (please conact ridj-it if you are unable to add more funds). The fundraiser amount is non-refundable as it is contributed directly to the ACS fundraising page.

Also a reminder that if you are unable to join the hike, you may still contribute to the fundraiser by clicking here.

This hike is also a part of the mountain flyer program. If you're signed up as a rider for this hike, please note the shuttle availability via the link:
