Abiltiies Dance is excited to announce our first master class with Paige Fraser! Paige Fraser is in town to perform in our show Next Level and we are excited to have her lead a master class! This class will be centered in contemporary that will explore improv and some her own phrase material that she will perform in Next Level on June 2nd! Abilities Dance Director of Music Andrew Choe will be performing live music that accomodates the movement style and flow of the class.
This class is open to dancers of all abilities and experience levels. Abilities Dance Director Ellice Patterson will be assisting Paige Fraser in modifying to accommodate everyone. The class will take place in Studio 7 at the Dance Complex in Central Square, Cambridge, MA., The space, like all of our produced events, is physically accessible. Please pre-order as there is limited availability.
PAIGE FRASER, (Bronx, NY) trained at Ballet Atlantic Academy and Professional Performing Arts High School. She is a graduate from Fordham University/Alvin Ailey BFA in 2012. Ms. Fraser was a member of Ailey II for the 2011-2013. She is a founding dancer of Visceral Dance Chicago now in her fifth season with the company. Paige has been a guest artist for Deeply Rooted and Ruth Page Civic Ballet. She has worked for artists such as Beyonce, Chanel Iman, and Jussie Smollett. She has been featured in ELLE Magazine, Dance Magazine, Dance Teacher, Essence, Lucky, and graced the cover of both Revolution Dancewear and Streetwise Chicago. Paige appeared in the 2016 Intel Campaign “Experience Amazing” as their RealSense dancer. She is a recipient of a 2016 Dance Fellowship from the Princess Grace Foundation-USA and a Dance Magazine 2017 "25 to Watch". As a Scoliosis advocate who faced the prospect of surgery at an early age that might have ended her dream of becoming a professional dancer, Paige embraces what she has overcome to raise awareness about pursuing dreams and overcoming challenges. When not performing she teaches and offers workshops all over the world.
