Please join us for a virtual screening of Turning The Page -The Story of Rodney’s Bookstore, with filmmakers Weiying Olivia Huang and Eric Taylor.
Turning The Page is a documentary film about Rodney’s bookstore as it closes its doors after twenty years in Central Square, its search for a new location, and the significance of staying in Cambridge.
The film captures and reflects upon the history and public memory of Central Square through the lens of one local business appealing to a diverse community. An essential aspect of the film is highlighting the vital relationship between local businesses and their communities, and how Central Square past, present, and future is sustained by small businesses just like Rodney’s, which mirror the complexity and diversity of Cambridge itself.
