Shaheen Akhtar, from the Islamic Center of Boston (Wayland), has been building bridges and sharing her love of Islam with the MetroWest community for over 20 years. Join us on February 28, when she sits down with Rev. Dr. Kelly Murphy Mason to discuss the roots of the tradition and give a picture of what it is like to be Muslim in America. Topics might include how holidays and life cycle events are celebrated, what goes on in a mosque, what children learn in religious education programs and what obstacles Muslims face in this country. An audience Q&A will follow. For more information, go to: http://www.uuwellesley.org/adult-learning/ or call 781-235-7423. PLEASE NOTE: Snow date is Sunday, March 10 at 12:30 pm.
