Mt Kearsarge (South) is a 3K footer considered by some among top 3 mountains for best views on the 52 WAV list and as such a popular NH hike. Lincoln trail to Kearsarge out and back is approximately 10 miles with gradual logging for the first two and a short scramble close to the summit. Views from the peak - the White Mountains and Mt. Cardigan in the north, the Green Mountains and Mt. Sunapee in the west and the Monadnock Region and the Merrimack Valley in the south. This trail is on the moderate side of difficult from reviews. Meeting point will be Kearsarge Regional High School and from there we drive together to the trailhead off of Mastin road for parking. This is not a guided hike. We’ll be hiking together with like-minded enthusiasts at moderate pace. Prior hike experience not necessary but will be helpful given the distance. Also, the group will stop for a post hike dinner in NH. Trip details will be updated as we get closer to hike. Feel free to comment below in the chat with any questions.
