Summertime is here! Soak up the rays, enjoy the fresh (and humid) air, and embrace one of the few months of Boston’s warm weather. It’s time to dance the night away, get on the water, discover local artists and musicians at outdoor markets, and more. Happy June, Boston friends – here’s what’s happening this month for $10 or less!

1) Small Mart Pride Market

Info: Kick off Pride Month by supporting and celebrating queer artists and allies at this market! There will be over 40 vendors and you can sip on some drinkies while shopping for fun (and colorful) gifts!


2) Caribbean American Heritage Festival

Info: Welcome National Caribbean-American Heritage Month with a day full of live music, dance, crafts, traditional food, and more. Learn about the Caribbean-American community in Boston with fellow neighbors.


3) Medford Porchfest

Info: Enjoy summer weather by exploring Medford by foot and enjoying live music by local bands, musicians, and more. The Boston tradition continues, so grab your friends and enjoy the show on the porches, patios, driveways, and parking lots around town.


4) Somerville Nepali Festival

Info: Learn about Nepalese culture by joining this festival dedicated to the Nepali community in Somerville. Enjoy live music, food, art, and more!


5) Meet Us at the Malden River

Info: This family-friendly event is something you don’t want to miss. With all kinds of river entertainment like free boat rides and a brass band that will be drifting along on a boat, you’ll learn about this local river and more. Plus, there will be free food and dancing!


6) Lemonatti Launch Party

Info: A whole summer party dedicated to the hearty lemon is here. Aeronaut is launching a summer staple drink with a themed-bash in its honor. There will be a whole lot of zesty desserts, as well as lemon and pie eating contests!


7) 20’s & 30’s Beach Day at Carson Beach

Info: Yes, it’s true. Beaches do exist in this city. And now, you can explore it while making friends with other folks in the area. We know how hard it is to meet people, so whether you head to this event solo or with some pals, you’ll meet a whole bunch of new friendly folks, while soaking up some sun.


8) Boston Sober Pride Dance Party

Info: Soaking in the summer vibes does not require an alcoholic bevy in hand. Get ready for a whole night of fun with live DJs, drag performances, and ~glitter~. Shine bright at this sober dance party to celebrate pride. 


9) Farm & Field Festival at Cider Hill Farm

Info: Head to one of our favorite farms in MA for a day-trip during their Farm & Field Festival. There will be live bands, obstacle courses, a wide selection of food and drinks, and more family-friendly activities!


10) 8th Curated Vintage Market at Bow

Info: You cannot miss this beloved event. For all the treasure hunters out there, the Curated Vintage Market is back for its 8th year with 70+ vintage vendors from not only Boston, but also New England and beyond. Grab a snack from the market and get ready to take home some one-of-a-kind pieces.


11) Fenway Flea

Info: Welcome the Fenway Flea back for its third season. Enjoy handmade art, upcycled clothing, and more at The Station right next to Time Out!

Info: Grab a free bouquet of fresh flowers and listen to a live opera singer perform at this amazing event. Don’t forget to bring a donation for the Somerville Food Pantry too!


15) HBD Prince Dance Party

Info: Put on your party shoes and wear everything purple and glitter. It’s time to welcome summer with a whole night dedicated to Prince and his classic hits. 


16) Adaptive Recreation Fair

Info: Celebrate love of every kind. Join the party and cheer on the folks in the Boston Pride Parade at this watch party right on the parade route. 


19) BMP Block Party 2024

Where: Rowes Wharf

Info: Head to the Greenway for family-friendly activities. There will be live music and free music and movement classes for kids. Learn about different instruments and dance away. 


20) 44th Coolidge Arts Festival

Info: Shop for gifts, treat yourself, or just enjoy looking at the art from over 90 vendors! There will be food trucks, a beer and wine garden, and patio dining for everyone to enjoy. Come celebrate the work of local artists!


21) Boston Pride Parade & Festival 2024

Info: Come on out and show some love to everyone in the community. The Boston Pride Parade is back this year with lots of color, fun, and energy. Cheer people on and stay for the after parties.


22) Red Bull Cliff Diving Boston 2024

Info: It’s the third year of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series. This is a can’t-miss event where you can watch 12 men and women dive off the ICA! Get there early to secure your spot for fantastic views.


23) Strummin’ up to Boston Ukulele Festival

Info: Enjoy live performances from eight ukulele ensembles, bring your ukulele to jam with the community, and munch on some bites from food trucks. This event is fun for everyone and perfect for music lovers.


24) Boston Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival

Info: Experience different Asian cultures at this festival on the John W. Weeks Footbridge. There will be tons of food vendors, cultural performances, and more – all while you watch 12-foot dragon boats race along the Charles.


25) 2nd Annual Le Grand Prix Elmendorf du Pain: Bread Competition

Info: A whole day dedicated to the art of making the perfect baguette – yes, please. Come join this Paris-inspired street festival where you can watch bread judging, listen to live music, and enjoy bread vendors and more!


26) Cambridge Arts River Festival 2024

Info: Stop by this big festival with six stages of live music, theater, and dance, as well as international food, a mermaid promenade, and interactive art-making. There’s lots to enjoy for everyone, no matter what age!


27) Arlington Porchfest 2024

Info: Enjoy live music by musicians and neighbors at this Porchfest celebration in Arlington. Grab your friends or roam around solo to immerse yourself in new sounds by locals.


28) Fenway Porchfest 2024

Info: Fenway is the heart of the city where you can feel the Boston spirit by supporting the Red Sox. But this event allows you to explore Fenway in a completely new way. Roam around and get lost in the sounds of live performers all around town.


29) 2024 Boston Portuguese Festival

Info: Stop by the City Hall Plaza and immerse yourself in Portuguese culture. There will be lots of traditional food, cultural performances, and even live music by world-renowned Lusophone artists.


30) Juneteenth Gathering

Where: Cambridge

Info: Honor and learn about the history of Juneteenth at this community gathering. Hear from descendants of slaves about their family stories, listen to a poetry performance, and more at this event meant for everyone. 


31) Bunker Hill Parade 2024

Info: Stop by this parade for the 249th Commemoration of the Battle of Bunker Hill. There will be live performances and speeches for everyone to enjoy and remember this moment in history.


32) Pollinator Festival at Cider Hill Farm

Info: Learn about important members of our environment: pollinators. Stop by this weeklong festival that showcases the beauty of bees, butterflies, and birds. There will be art exhibits, food, and workshops.

Info: Stop by this community event to celebrate and remember the history of freedom. Enjoy live music, dancing, and powerful speeches by local leaders. 


34) Juneteenth: ICA Free Admission

Info: Head to the ICA to celebrate Black artistry. Advanced tickets are required, so make sure to book them for free. Don’t forget to make time to see the new Hew Locke exhibit called ‘The Procession’ with over 100 life-sized sculptures.


35) Juneteenth: MFA Free Admission

Info: Stop by the MFA on Juneteenth and stay for a whole day of immersive activities. Watch a step performance, listen to a program of Black spiritual folk songs, and more.

Info: An ode to the beautiful strawberry – my favorite, like many of you! This festival is all about celebrating this fruit, complete with strawberry-themed food and dessert, as well as a petting zoo, a strawberry shortcake eating contest, and more!


42) Summer Solstice Plant Market

Info: Calling all plant enthusiasts! This is the event for you. Meet other plant parents, shop local, and pick up your next plant baby at this market with over 40 vendors. 


43) 10th Annual Celebration of Summer: Donna Summer Disco Party

Where: City Hall Plaza

Cost: Free

Info: Honor the life of Boston-disco legend, Donna Summer, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, by pulling out your grooviest dance moves yet. Anyone can join the fun. There will be music, bubbles, glow sticks, the return of roller skating in the plaza, and a whole night of dancing. 


44) City of Cambridge Dance Party 2024

Where: Central Square

Info: Thousands of people show up to this gigantic dance party across the Charles. Don’t miss out on this big event full of colorful lights and live DJ-spun tunes. No matter how old you are, everyone is invited!


45) Open Newbury Street 2024

Info: Kick off the start of a car-free Newbury Street dedicated to pedestrians every Sunday, starting at the end of June. Wander along this famous street and enjoy the sunshine.
