On June 2, celebrate the unveiling of 401 Park's large-scale outdoor installation Grouping of Works from Fountain by celebrated contemporary artist, Nicole Eisenman. The event will allow the community to view the work, participate in art activities for the whole family, and enjoy food and drink from local vendors.
Grouping of Works from Fountain
The original iteration of the art piece, Sketch for a Fountain, made its international debut in 2017 at Skulptur Projekte Münster. The installation features several figures of bathers, situated in various positions around a shallow pool of water. The initial installation included five figures made of both plaster and bronze, but the three figures in Grouping of Works from Fountain will all be made bronze. The piece will live permanently as a fixture of the newly renovated green space at 401 Park.
Art Activities & Food
After viewing the art piece on the green space, attendees can make their way into the main lobby of 401 Park for an afternoon of activities and food.
Workshops led by 3 Local Art Groups
The following local groups will be on site to lead unique workshops in which participants can get hands-on art experience: Non Issue Studio, Loyal, ARCK
Food & Music
Throughout the event, attendees can enjoy bites from Hojoko and FoMu and beats from Berklee artist Steve Heck.
Maker Space
Kids are encouraged to create their own artwork during the event. Enjoy:
