Free websites for 48 local nonprofits, built by local professionals in 48 hours
This weekend-long hackathon-style event brings together highly skilled volunteers to provide nonprofits with professional websites, to help better serve the local community
The 3rd annual 48in48 Boston event is taking place October 25-27 at Slalom, 399 Boylston St, Boston, MA. The event will bring together 100+ local marketing and technology professionals who have volunteered their time and skills to build websites for non-profit organizations. By Sunday of the event, 48 brand new websites will be launched.
“Nonprofits are so focused on helping others they don’t have time or funds to help themselves,” said 48in48 founder, Jeff Hilimire. “Imagine how much more good they could do with a great website to help them market themselves better?” With a new website, a nonprofit can tell their story like never before, helping them grow, thrive and help more people.
The mission of 48in48 is to help the helpers – and in doing so, to strengthen our communities. Since 2015, 48in48 has generated more than $8.4 Million in value worth of websites, logos, and marketing support for nonprofits whose impact has grown as a result.
Atlanta-based 48in48 was founded by digital marketing experts, Jeff Hilimire and Adam Walker, to bring together nonprofits striving to do the most good, local digital professionals seeking to volunteer their unique skills, and companies looking to donate to a cause that has exponential impact.
“We were able to use our technical and business skill sets beyond our client work to support the Boston community in a way that would last beyond 48 hours.” said volunteer Aishwarya Bhadouria of Slalom Consulting, a local sponsor of the event.
