The Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center is thrilled to announce its 32nd Annual Walk Against Domestic Violence. Walk with us as we advocate for change and raise awareness for domestic violence.


Check-in begins at 8 a.m. and the 3-mile scenic walk around Newburyport begins at 9 a.m. This year’s theme is “Walk With Us.” The Center invites anyone and everyone to join them in the event and help raise awareness about domestic violence.


Theannual Walk Against Domestic Violence is one of the Center’s largest fundraisers of the year. Proceeds from this event allow the Center to provide free, safe, and confidential programs and services to 16 local communities.


Registration for the walk is free. Participants are encouraged to register online at jeannegeiger.org and track pledges on a personalized fundraising page. Individuals raising a minimum of $100, will receive a commemorative hat; those raising $1,000 or more will earn a quarter-zip fleece jacket. The deadline to receive these incentive items at the Walk is 9/30. Participants of all ages are welcome, as well as leashed canine companions.
