Trident Booksellers & Cafe opened in 1984 and since then has expanded from a small bookstore cafe to a full-service restaurant and two floors of books. Located on Newbury Street in historic Back Bay, Trident is the last general independent bookstore in Boston.
Menu favorites are the lemon ricotta French toast, vegan cashew chili, and deluxe grilled cheese. We also have a full espresso bar, a large selection of loose leaf teas, beer & wine, and fresh juices and smoothies. Author talks, cooking demos, and other events are held in the upstairs cafe.
