This event will highlight the 40 Year Anniversary of our organization and the Artists in Recovery that are key providers of the programs that we have used to serve our communities for those 40 years. 


2nd Act's Mission

2nd Act is a collective of artists in recovery which uses theatre, film, and drama therapy to address the impact of substance use. Together we empower diverse and inclusive communities to promote understanding in the face of stigma.


2nd Act's Vision

We believe in a world where all stories are honored, recovery is celebrated, and everyone gets a second act.


2nd Act has an evaluated approach to prevention education that uniquely focuses on the lived experience of people in recovery to shape narratives around substance use, and we leverage that unique pool of talent and experience to deliver programs that specifically target some of the highest need areas of the prevention and recovery world: targeted intervention for students with social-emotional learning deficits, people in early recovery, and frontline recovery personnel.
