Be a part of producing a short film depicting the true lives of the people with ties to the city of Cambridge.
Whether you wake up in the city, commute here for work, come to study, pray, shop or to eat, YOU make Cambridge the city that it is. Tell your story, show us who you are. Immigrants. Seniors. Men. Women. Youth. LGBTQ. Millionaires. Housing Impaired. Tourists. Whether you drive a Tesla, take the T, rollerblade or walk. Cat people, dog people, and all folks in between. This is your chance to be heard, and be seen. You're not just 1 of 113,630, you are 1/1, and special because of it. Who we are as individuals is just as important as who we are as a community. Show us how you make your mark in Cambridge!
How to Participate:
Film one minute of video, sharing something that you regularly do, or are a part of while here in Cambridge. Use your cellphone, a point and shoot camera, a DSLR, or a whole production crew! Technical skill level ranges from none to expert here in Cambridge, so no need to know everything about the latest recording gadgets to be a part of this project. If you're a video making savant, show us what you've got! All storytelling styles are welcome. Please record horizontally and submit your video as a .MP4 file. Follow @24HoursCambridge on Instagram for filming tutorials, tips, and project updates!

Deadline: All videos must be submitted by Sunday April 14th 2019.

Ella Greely, Programming Coordinator at CCTV, conceived the project idea when presented with the opportunity to write a grant in response to an invitation from The Massachusetts Cultural Council, mid-2018. Now, with funding from the Mass Cultural Council and production and resourcing development from within Cambridge Community Television, this citywide Video Arts Project is coming to life! The final form of this piece will be an all encompassing visual depiction of a 24 hour day, stitching together video segments from participants all over Cambridge. The Project will premiere publicly during the first week of May, 2019. *Date and Location TBA.
