Co-sponsored by Wellesley College Girl Up and Women’s and Gender Studies Department
Attendees will look inward and explore their own gender journey and messages they received about being their gender over time and will consider intersectional aspects that include race, social class, religion/spirituality and sexual identities. Visual representation will help to represent individual gender journeys. The program will be led by Gail Cruise-Roberson and Emmy Howe, co-directors of the National SEED Project at WCW, an action program that uses the power of sharing stories to create conversational communities that drive change toward greater equity and inclusion for all. Educators and social justice advocates, Cruise-Roberson and Howe have backgrounds in facilitating peer-led, experiential programs on diversity and systems of privilege, oppression, and power.
This is a program of the Social Change Dialogues at the Wellesley Centers for Women and is free and open to the public. Tea, coffee, and cookies will be provided. Parking is available in the Davis Parking Facility. For accessibility questions, contact Accessibility Services at Wellesley College.
