The Umbrella to The Old Manse
Muster at 10:30 at The Umbrella, 40 Stow Street in Concord, and begin parade down Main and Monument Streets at 11:00 with giant puppets, costumes, banners, community groups, families, and friends alongside performing artists including:
aNova Brazil, Dirty Water Brass Band, bagpiper Brian Quirk, accordionist Sari Kalin, and stilters Serendipity Stilt Dancers, Henry Lappen, and Shawn Morrissey. Plus pre-parade show by Snow Crow and post-parade show by Diabolis in Musica.
RIVER CEREMONY
11:30am–12:00pm
Minute Man National Historic Park, at The Old North Bridge
Launching of Earth Floats at the water’s edge. Featuring storyteller/jazz & blues vocalist Valerie Stephens and master percussionist Grant Smith.
ARTS & ENVIRONMENT FESTIVAL
12:00pm–2:00pm
The Old Manse Lawn and Orchard
Featured performances include:
“Ecology of Sound,” an interactive performance with Brazilian musician Ricardo Frota
“A Passion for Birds,“ an interactive performance with birder and actor Henry Lappen
